Round 4 - Simply Teach Kindergarten Phonics - BLENDS
ROUND 4 BLENDS - Our Round 4 phonics lessons and decodable texts are created just for kindergarten to teach blends! (Also makes for a great intervention for 1st or 2nd or SPED.) These lessons are ROUND 4 (6 more weeks with 24 decodable texts and lessons) of instruction building upon Rounds 1, 2, and 3.
The texts and lessons include phonics instruction built using kindergarten appropriate sound-spellings, a clear scope and sequence with consonants and vowels, and very few irregular words. These lessons will solidify students ability to blend and not rely on memorizing words. This type of phonics instruction is known to be effective and provide long-lasting reading success.
Use the phonics lessons and texts daily, alongside your other components of reading (phonemic awareness, alphabet knowledge, concepts of print, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension).
